Remembering John F. Kennedy offers a candid look at one of America’s most popular presidents, his family, and his capital. Well-known author and educator, Philip Bigler provides the reader with an intimate, historically accurate portrait of JFK’s time in Washington – beginning in 1946, when a twenty-nine year old John Kennedy was elected to Congress for the first time, and follows him through to his eventual burial at Arlington National Cemetery.

Using short chapter opening texts and over 70 historical photographs to tell the Kennedy story, the book covers JFK’s time as a Member of the House of Representatives and later in the Senate, his election to the Presidency, his friendships, his marriage, and his children, as well as the major events of his presidency, his love of culture, his charm and charisma, his accomplishments, his eventual assassination, and his lasting legacy on Washington and the nation.
